Kidney Meal Planner is a free tool that helps people with Chronic Kidney Disease plan kidney-friendly meals. We've designed it to work without collecting your personal information. This page explains what that means in practice.

Information we collect

None. The app does not require an account, and we do not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. We do not use tracking or analytics tools.

Your lab values and preferences

Any information you enter — such as lab results, allergen filters, or meal selections — stays on your device, inside your browser, for the duration of your visit. It is used only to generate your meal plan and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone.

Supporting the project (payments)

If you choose to use the “Support this project” button, you are taken to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Any details you enter there — such as your name, email, or card information — are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us. We never see or store your payment details.

Stripe's handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Stripe may set cookies on its own payment pages as needed to process a transaction securely.

Children's privacy

This tool is intended for adults managing their diet and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Medical disclaimer

Kidney Meal Planner provides general dietary guidance based on published renal nutrition principles. It does not replace individualized medical nutrition therapy. Always review your diet with your nephrologist or registered renal dietitian.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
